At Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue, the health and well-being of our animals is a top priority. Unless otherwise stated, all animals are fully vetted prior to adoption.

Meet Trinket!
Trinket is a sweet little brown tabby girl whose life began in a scrapyard, but she’s ready for a much brighter future. 
She came to us after surviving a rough start, including a bad upper respiratory infection that left a permanent scar on her left eye. This scar does not affect her vision or slow her down one bit — it simply tells the story of everything she’s overcome. 
Trinket can be a bit timid at first, but once she realizes you’re safe, she blossoms into a gentle, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than love and stability.

Hi! I’m Poppy!
And my story is a little dramatic… but I think my happy ending is going to make up for it. 
I’m approximately 12 weeks old, and before I came to Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue, I was found trapped inside the engine compartment of a vehicle in Sunbury.
Somehow, my tail had gotten caught and was severely injured. By the time I was found, part of it was already necrotic (dead tissue) and infested with maggots. 
I was rushed to Rosebird Veterinary Center, where they discovered the maggots were beginning to work their way toward the base of my tail. Thankfully, I was found before they made their way into my abdominal or rectal area, where things could have become much more serious.
My damaged tail had to be amputated, leaving me with the cutest little bunny nub! 
And now?
You’d NEVER know everything I went through!
I’m spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and SNAP tested negative. Most importantly, I’m ready to find my forever family! 
I can be a little shy at first. If you walk toward me too quickly, I’ll run away… but then I’ll come right back and plop myself down in front of you.
You try to grab me?
ZOOM! 
Then I come back and we do the whole thing again.
Personally, I think it’s a fantastic game.
Once you finally pick me up, though, I’m very sweet and playful! I’m always playing, bouncing and hopping around like a little bunny. And with my tiny bobtail, I kind of look like one too!
And before anyone wonders, my missing tail does NOT hinder my ability to have a bowel movement. My bowels move perfectly fine! My little nub doesn’t slow me down or interfere with me living a completely normal kitten life.
I went from being a tiny kitten trapped in an engine with a devastating, maggot-infested tail…
…to a healthy, happy, playful little bobtailed girl looking for a family of my very own.
Not bad for a little “Flower Shop Kitty.”

If you’ve ever wanted a cat with a personality bigger than life itself, allow us to introduce you to the one and only Mr. Wobbles. 
Mr. Wobbles has moderate Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition he was born with that affects his balance and coordination. It is not painful, it is not progressive, and it does not require medication or ongoing treatment. He simply experiences the world a little differently than other cats.
The best way to describe him? Imagine a tiny drunken sailor who is permanently celebrating. 
He wobbles, stumbles, tips over, and occasionally face-plants… then gets right back up like nothing happened.
Despite his clumsiness, Mr. Wobbles doesn’t let anything slow him down.
He is fully litter trained (he’ll just need a litter box with one low side for easy access.)
He absolutely LOVES attention and will happily weave between your legs to demand pets, fair warning, he’s a bit of a trip hazard!
He loves to play.
He gets along well with tolerant, friendly cats.
Because of his balance issues, he will need a home without stairs.
Mr. Wobbles isn’t looking for someone to feel sorry for him. He’s looking for someone who will laugh with him, cheer him on after every tumble, and love him exactly as he is.
Special needs? Technically.
High maintenance? Not at all.
He just needs a family willing to see that being a little wobbly doesn’t make him any less perfect.

Sparrow has been spayed, microchipped and has received all of her vaccines. We are working on socialization and she is doing great! She is very social and lovable. She tolerates being picked up, held and she is quite a chatterbox. She has come a long way from being dumped at Burger King fending for herself. She is loving indoor life where she can finally feel safe!
So far, Sparrow has shown me that she is a QUEEN BEE DIVA! She perches on her throne and is content to watch all of the other cats and nap her day away. Believe me when I tell you, this cat is absolutely STUNNING. If black cats are your type, this girl is for you! Sparrow has the most beautiful, shiny black coat you ever did see.
Sparrow is not an aggressor with other adult cats, however she would prefer to be left alone. When approached by others, she will warn them to back off with a swat or growl. Due to her temperment, her best fit will be a home where she can be an only cat with no small children.
Sparrow is approximately 2 years old, microchipped, dewormed, litter-trained, spayed and will be fully vaccinated at the time of adoption. She is solid black aside from a few white hairs on her chest and has gorgeous green eyes.

ADOPT BIRDIE
Beautiful Birdie was tamed as a kitten, and then dumped outside at a few months old.
Good Samaritans fed her, but didn't have the resources to get her spayed, and Birdie soon became a mother AND grandmother.
When a feeding ban was placed in her community, it was Birdie's sweet song and disposition that helped us to locate her family and get them into a much better situation.
Now that Birdie is spayed, and her days of raising kittens are over, she is ready for her forever home!
She has an adorably short little face and HUGE round eyes that make her just irresistably cute.
She is laid back, and likes to spend most of her day napping, but will hop up and play from time to time. She isn't the biggest fan of other adult cats, and generally avoids them, but would love to be adopted with her look-alike daughter, Ginnie.

Some of you may remember Cookie and Cream, the two sisters we took in on February 13th, 2026 after a difficult situation.
Their owner had unfortunately been experiencing homelessness and couch surfing, and because of that the girls had been living alone in a camper since at least December without heat or much socialization. Their owner loved them, but due to the instability of her situation and the difficulty of getting back and forth to the camper, the cats were not being fed consistently and their litter box had gone far too long without being cleaned.
It wasn’t a good situation for them, and we knew they needed to get out of there as soon as possible so they could receive proper care.
Despite everything, the two sisters stayed together through it all.
Our transporter was able to safely secure them, and they were rushed to RoseBird Veterinary where they finally received the care they had gone without for so long.
At their vet visit both girls were:
Spayed
Vaccinated (one more FVRCP vaccine remaining)
SNAP tested
Dewormed
Most importantly… they were given the all clear health-wise and were able to head to a loving foster home to begin their new lives.
After everything they’ve been through, these girls are incredibly sweet and affectionate. They were understandably scared at first, but every day they are getting braver.
They now come out from under the bed to greet their foster without needing to be coaxed.
Here’s what we’ve learned about them so far:
Cookie — Brown tabby
• Around 5 years old
• Very affectionate
• Loves butt scratches so much she stands up on her back tippy toes
• Can sometimes hiss if Cream gets too close
Cream — Gray tabby
• Around 5 years old
• Total lap cat
• Very gentle and loving
• Loves attention and cuddles
Both girls have shown no issues with men or older adults and have been affectionate with their foster, her boyfriend, and her parents.
Although they have lived together their entire lives, their previous owner shared that they have never been especially bonded and would sometimes hiss or grumble at each other. However, we are hopeful that now that both girls are spayed and no longer dealing with hormonal behaviors or competing for mates, their relationship may improve and they may become more tolerant of one another.
Because of this, we are not requiring that they be adopted together, though they certainly could be if the right home wanted both.
After spending months alone in a cold camper, Cookie and Cream are finally safe, warm, and learning what it means to be loved. Now all they need is a forever family who will give them the stability and care they’ve been missing.

I was brought to Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue on June 12th after I was found on Washington Boulevard with my siblings. Sadly, our momma had been hit by a car, leaving us little ones behind.
Thankfully, we were brought into rescue, where we were safe, cared for, and given the chance to grow up into the happy, healthy kittens we are today!

Personality-wise, I’m a sweet, friendly, playful and happy little girl who loves being around my siblings.

I eat like I have an endless stomach and have never seen a meal in my entire life. I’m also a little greedy about it. I’ve been known to growl at the other cats while I’m eating because apparently, in my mind, all food is Bugle’s food and everyone else needs to back away from the buffet.
Don’t worry, outside of my very serious commitment to protecting my meals, I’m an incredibly sweet and friendly girl!
