At Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue, the health and well-being of our animals is a top priority. Unless otherwise stated, all animals are fully vetted prior to adoption.

Meet Trinket!
Trinket is a sweet little brown tabby girl whose life began in a scrapyard, but she’s ready for a much brighter future. 
She came to us after surviving a rough start, including a bad upper respiratory infection that left a permanent scar on her left eye. This scar does not affect her vision or slow her down one bit — it simply tells the story of everything she’s overcome. 
Trinket can be a bit timid at first, but once she realizes you’re safe, she blossoms into a gentle, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than love and stability.

Meet Juliet!
Juliet came to us not too long ago after being found dumped outside in Turbotville on a cold winter day. She was slightly underweight and struggling to stay warm, but once she was brought inside, safe and cared for, she absolutely flourished.
Since coming into rescue, Juliet has been spayed, vaccinated (she has one more distemper vaccine remaining), microchipped, and SNAP tested, negative. She is now healthy, happy, and ready to find a home of her own.
Juliet was dumped alongside her sister, Jillian, but ironically… she can’t stand looking at her. 
Juliet doesn’t really care for other cats. While she can live with them, she would much rather be the queen of her castle. Be prepared for some hissing and growling at first, she’s a diva, and she knows it! With time and proper introductions, this can always improve, but she definitely prefers her own space.
What Juliet does love is people. She is incredibly sweet and wants to be wherever you are, following you from room to room, keeping you company, and soaking up attention. She truly enjoys being part of your day and just wants to be near her person.
Juliet is approximately 15 weeks old, a beautiful dilute tortie, litter box trained, and full of personality. She just needs someone willing to love her exactly as she is.

Meet Dorothy Hi, I’m Dorothy! I’m one of my rescue mom’s absolute favorites! A few months ago, I came here extremely sick and knocking on death’s door. I was so weak that I wouldn’t eat on my own for weeks — my rescue mom had to tube feed me for almost a month before I had the strength and appetite to eat by myself. I arrived with a terrible URI, severe dehydration, and scary levels of emaciation. But thanks to round-the-clock TLC, I pulled through — and now I’m ready to find my forever home! FOR ADOPTION — Meet Jimmy!
Some of you may remember Jimmy from last summer, when he first arrived at Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue as a very sick little survivor who had already been through more than most kittens ever should.
Jimmy originally showed up on someone’s porch desperately trying to get inside. After being taken in, he began showing neurological symptoms, stumbling, falling to one side, refusing to eat or drink, and his tail was limp and badly injured. When he made his way to our vet, it was discovered that Jimmy was suffering from a severe infected bite wound that had formed a large abscess in his cheek. The infection had spread, causing him to go septic, which explained the neurological symptoms. His tail was also severely infected and filled with dead tissue.
After stabilizing on antibiotics, Jimmy underwent surgery to amputate his tail and was neutered at the same time. And from there… his healing journey truly began.
Fast forward to today, Jimmy is now almost 9 months old, healthy, happy, and ready to find the forever home he’s always deserved.
Jimmy is a tailless boy, due to the injury he suffered as a baby that required amputation, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He has fully adapted and lives a completely normal, playful life. His little nub just adds to his charm and makes him extra special.
Jimmy is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being around people. He enjoys attention, playtime, and being part of whatever is going on around him. After everything he’s been through, he truly appreciates the comfort of being safe and loved.

ADOPT BIRDIE
Beautiful Birdie was tamed as a kitten, and then dumped outside at a few months old.
Good Samaritans fed her, but didn't have the resources to get her spayed, and Birdie soon became a mother AND grandmother.
When a feeding ban was placed in her community, it was Birdie's sweet song and disposition that helped us to locate her family and get them into a much better situation.
Now that Birdie is spayed, and her days of raising kittens are over, she is ready for her forever home!
She has an adorably short little face and HUGE round eyes that make her just irresistably cute.
She is laid back, and likes to spend most of her day napping, but will hop up and play from time to time. She isn't the biggest fan of other adult cats, and generally avoids them, but would love to be adopted with her look-alike daughter, Ginnie.

Some of you may remember Kevin, the Woodland Ave Tom Cat we were called about back on February 11th when neighbors noticed something wasn’t right with his mouth. After years of surviving outside, Kevin finally got the help he needed, and now he’s ready to find a home of his own.
When Kevin first came to us, the vet diagnosed him with stomatitis, a painful inflammatory condition of the mouth that can cause drooling, bad breath, tongue hanging out, and discomfort while eating. Thankfully, Kevin’s case is not severe, and at this time his teeth are healthy and he does not require dental work.
Kevin has now been:
Neutered
Vaccinated (one more distemper vaccine remaining)
SNAP tested
Kevin is FIV positive but FELV negative. This often sounds scary to people, but FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds from fighting. Kevin has absolutely no interest in fighting, which means he can safely live with other cats as long as everyone gets along.
And here’s something many people worry about with former tomcats…
Kevin does NOT spray and he is perfectly litter trained, despite living outside for years. He took to the litter box immediately and has had no issues at all.
After years of being a street tomcat, Kevin is still learning indoor life, but he is doing wonderfully and is incredibly affectionate with people.
Here’s what we know about Kevin so far:
Extremely friendly and affectionate
Professional Churu enthusiast, he doesn’t miss a single drop!
Laid-back “lazy tomcat” personality

Can live with dogs as long as they respect his space and don’t chase or get in his face
Kevin does have one sensitive spot somewhere on his back end or tail. If it gets rubbed too much he may hiss or swat, but seconds later he goes right back to purring and loving on you.
And then there’s Kevin’s adorable tongue. 
His tongue may always hang out of his mouth, and the vets aren’t entirely sure why. It could be from mild swelling in the throat from stomatitis, or he may have something called macroglossia, which simply means his tongue is a little too big for his mouth. It doesn’t affect his eating, breathing, or quality of life, it just makes him extra adorable and a little goofy looking.
If Kevin ever does require dental work related to his stomatitis in the future, our rescue will cover that cost for his adopter.
Kevin has spent years surviving outside. Now he’s looking for a warm couch, full belly, and someone to love him for the rest of his life.

Some of you may remember Cookie and Cream, the two sisters we took in on February 13th, 2026 after a difficult situation.
Their owner had unfortunately been experiencing homelessness and couch surfing, and because of that the girls had been living alone in a camper since at least December without heat or much socialization. Their owner loved them, but due to the instability of her situation and the difficulty of getting back and forth to the camper, the cats were not being fed consistently and their litter box had gone far too long without being cleaned.
It wasn’t a good situation for them, and we knew they needed to get out of there as soon as possible so they could receive proper care.
Despite everything, the two sisters stayed together through it all.
Our transporter was able to safely secure them, and they were rushed to RoseBird Veterinary where they finally received the care they had gone without for so long.
At their vet visit both girls were:
Spayed
Vaccinated (one more FVRCP vaccine remaining)
SNAP tested
Dewormed
Most importantly… they were given the all clear health-wise and were able to head to a loving foster home to begin their new lives.
After everything they’ve been through, these girls are incredibly sweet and affectionate. They were understandably scared at first, but every day they are getting braver.
They now come out from under the bed to greet their foster without needing to be coaxed.
Here’s what we’ve learned about them so far:
Cookie — Brown tabby
• Around 5 years old
• Very affectionate
• Loves butt scratches so much she stands up on her back tippy toes
• Can sometimes hiss if Cream gets too close
Cream — Gray tabby
• Around 5 years old
• Total lap cat
• Very gentle and loving
• Loves attention and cuddles
Both girls have shown no issues with men or older adults and have been affectionate with their foster, her boyfriend, and her parents.
Although they have lived together their entire lives, their previous owner shared that they have never been especially bonded and would sometimes hiss or grumble at each other. However, we are hopeful that now that both girls are spayed and no longer dealing with hormonal behaviors or competing for mates, their relationship may improve and they may become more tolerant of one another.
Because of this, we are not requiring that they be adopted together, though they certainly could be if the right home wanted both.
After spending months alone in a cold camper, Cookie and Cream are finally safe, warm, and learning what it means to be loved. Now all they need is a forever family who will give them the stability and care they’ve been missing.
